To start off im severely allergic to poison ivy and when I get it the stuff spreads very quickly over my body and swells my eyes shut and it even makes me have difficulty breathing........
I have poison ivy over most of my body including my left eye, I went to the doctor today and he gave me a cortisone shot and also a 10 day dose of prednisone.
How long will it take to clear the poison ivy up and when will it stop itching soooooooo bad.
also is there any known med creams that will take the itch away?

The prednisone should do it. Not much else will help. You might ask your doctor if you can take some benedryl with the cortizone, at least it will help you sleep.
Reply:Get you a large box of baking soda and make a paste, put it on you entire body, let it stay on for about 30 minutes, then take a shower. You can also pour some into your bath water and lay in it. All of this should relieve the itching................................
Reply:Cortisone 10 cream on the rash should stop the itching.
