Poison Ivy? looks like raised scratches and hurts like hell fire... please help?

After walking through alot of tall grasses and painful plants, My leg was covered in all these red, scratch-like, raised rashes. I'm not sure if I'm having an allergic reaction or if it's poison Ivy.... also, if it is poison ivy, what do I do to treat it.

Poison Ivy? looks like raised scratches and hurts like hell fire... please help?
The best thing for it is Benadryl lotion or the generic Diphenhydramine lotion. Calamine lotion is the well known and most popular treatment, so you're welcome to try that... but a Doctor at Sutter Roseville Med. Center in Roseville California told me to try the benadryl lotion and my poison oak cleared up in 3 days. Good luck,

ps. Keep it uncovered; it needs to dry out. And it's not contagious after the first hour... the proteins are already bound to your skin and can't spread to others. The only thing that is contagious is the article of clothing you were wearing, until you've washed it.
Reply:Could be a number of possibilities. Anything from poison ivy to a plant called thistle. Try some benadryl to relieve the itch and use some calamine lotion. If it gets worse then consider going to a doctor.
Reply:it sounds like you may need a steroid shot at the hospital. try taking a couple benadryl's first and if that doesn't help, go in. if it isn't poison ivy it's definately an allergic reaction. get better
Reply:TRY USED DAMP TEA BAGS APPLIED UPON THE ITCHY SPOTS---SAID TO RELIEVE THE ITCHING!!!
