Poison ivy?

i had a rash on my wrist so i went to a a dermatologist and i thought it looked like impetigo, ive had it before. but he said it was poison ivy? and he gave me a bunch of free samples of luxiq, this medicine stuff that looks like foam but then melts into liquid. he didn't have to write me a prescription, because it was just free samples. i wanted to know more about it so i looked it up and it said it was made to treat scalp dermatosis?? my question is has anyone else used luxiq and was my doctor right to give it to me? will it clear up my poison ivy? and what's scalp dermatosis? ew

many medicines and creams have uses other than for what it was originally designed for.... if a dermatologist gave it to you, I'd use it.....they are skin specialists after all.......
