Ivy league law schools...?

i know its a bit early to be thinking about college but im very serious about my studies. i am starting HS in september..and i want to know what classes i have to take in HS in order to apply for ivy league law schools (i.e harvard, yale, princeton, etc) i dont want to be in my senior year when i find out i should have take 4 years of a language when i only took 2 years of language...please let me know any other classes that i have to take in order to apply for these schools...





p.s. if ur gonna make fun of me cuz im thinking about college now..please dont bother answering because im really serious about this...thanks. :-)

Um, Princeton famously doesn't have a law school.





The "ivy league" of law schools are the top 14 law schools as determined by US News. These schools haven't moved out of the top 14 since US News started ranking law schools. Here's this year's order:


1) Yale


2) Harvard and Stanford


4) NYU


5) Columbia


6) Chicago and Penn


8) UC-Berkeley and U Michigan


10) Duke and UVA


12) Northwestern


13) Cornell


14) Georgetown





Note that of that list only Yale, Harvard, Columbia, Penn and Cornell are officially Ivy League Schools--and many schools outrank Cornell.

You don't have to worry about taking certain courses in high school in order to get into law school. Just take what you need to get into the college of your choice. Once you get into college, there are still no specific prerequisitesto get into an elite law school. Acceptance is based mostly on GPA and your LSAT scores.

Reply:hehe that is good you are serious. What you should be looking to do is take the hardest courses possible with the highest grades possible. You will be competing against some of the highest gpa's in the nation. Not only GPA's but you need EC's. You should be looking to take the general 4 years of english. Enroll in every AP course that is possible at your school. Your gpa should not be below a 4.2 and a 3.8 if you are on a 4. scale for all courses





I'm assuming you are looking to go to an ivy out of high school and then to law school.





Here is a word of advice for high school.. Have fun! Don't get too worked up about going to the IVY LEAGUE school because truthfully there are many other great programs out there.
Reply:You don't go to an Ivy League Law School out of HS. You need to get an undergrad first. You should speak to your school's (HS) Guidance Counselor. They should start you on the right path.
