Reply:I would suggest looking at what you want to do for a living before you choose a school. Yeah, Harvard or Yale on my resume would look great, but I’m not going to drop hundreds of thousands of dollars on an education that may not be worth it.
For example, before I changed my major, I was an Education Major. The local State School near me is the best in the state for Education. Even after changing my major, I spent $30,000 for my entire career (4 years of school) for a degree that is very respected by employers.
Also, people who go to Ivy League schools for programs that can be obtained elsewhere find it to be a waste of money. A CMU graduate friend of mine is regretting spending upwards to $200,000 for a degree that could have been obtained for $50,000 with the same amount of weight.
Ivy League Schools are overrated in fields they do not specialize in. Employers will not hire people only because they come from Ivy League Schools.
I say this because you seem as if you want to go to Ivy League Schools just because you can.
