Ivy League Reqs.?

Well I want to apply to all Ivy League schools + stanford. What are like the SAT, G.P.A, and extra curricular activities that you need to have to stand a good chance. Thank you for your answers!

Ivy League Reqs.?
Why's your name Harvard grad? Wishful thinking?

Well, generally, you'd like a 3.9+ GPA unweighted. 2200+ SAT score. 2300 preferably.

Extra currics have to be unique. None of that president of a club or volunteered 150 hours garbage. I'm talking set up your own successful business, got a research grant from a recognized agency or group, top ranking in at least your state (if not nationally), 1st chair in a well known orchestra. That kind of stuff.

Don't forget letters of rec where every word (literally) is gushing about you. People have gotten denied because one sentence praising the student didn't absolutely gush about them (pretty ridiculous, but it has happened).

Your essay needs to be compelling as well.
Reply:Probably have to be in the top %10 of your high school, meaning GPA around at least 3.8 unweighted GPA. I'm not really familiar with new SATs.
Reply:Dont get scared. The max score of the SAT is 1600. Get a 1250 or 1300 or above and you stand a chance. Have a GPA above 3.6. Have extracurricular and volunteer activities. Have a passion for your chosen profession and communicate that in the entry essay. Score well on you ACT. Apply early. Have a good interview. Promote your awards and accomplishments in your application.
