I'd really like to transfer into an Ivy league from a really urban school (NYU). Does anyone have any success stories or suggestions? Or does anyone know of any books out there that talk about TRANSFERRING into an Ivy League?

Not all Ivies accept transfers - Dartmouth does not, for example. Well it didn't when I was there. Anyway, competition is fierce for those transfer spots where available. Stellar grades and recommendations from your professors is key. Your personal essay better be great as well. Best of luck.
Reply:all of the ivies accept transfers, but, that being said, transferring into an ivy leauge school has been said to be many times harder than being accepted as a freshman.
