Ivy League?
Fastweb.com is a great place for pulling all the available scholorships together - and they have many potential scholorships even if you have not graduated. You answer a bunch of questions and they go out and hunt their databases for you.

Do your research on stafford loans - and try to stay away from private lenders - too expensive. Knowing when to apply for financial aid (usually January/February for both FAFSA and your school) is critical to ensuring you get the most aid you can get.

For your activities - make sure you are well rounded...community service is ALWAYS good...
Reply:Personally, I would say go ahead and think about what your application is lacking, if anything, to be considered very well-rounded. If there is something in your credits that would help you in terms of applying to elite colleges, then I guess you can go ahead and do it if possible. Just work hard, and you'll be fine.
Reply:Go talk to your counselor, all HS have a scholarship dept, and they have all of the local scholarships you can qualify for. Which are a much better bet than going for national ones. As far as scholarships from the school, there's a very small chance at Ivy league, they give out only need based scholarships no merit based because everyone there is so smart. There might be a few independent scholarships, check with the financial aid office at the college, but be warned those usually go to legacy kids or minority kids. Also check with local businesses and get a job, start saving, put your money in a CD for 6 months ( you can't touch it but it has high interest) and be careful about your spending for the next few years.

Then when your at college consider RAing after your first year, its free room and board.
Reply:Finaid.com----------Financial Aid the big list and real help.
