Ivy League un-necessary?

What are some either extremly famous or extremly important people who did not go to an ivy-league school nowdays? (actors do not count, politics most exemplified)

Ivy League un-necessary?
To answer your first question, no an Ivy League education is not necessary to be successful, but it can help, since they are good school and grads often end up with good connections.

Regarding your second question, most presidents (Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, LBJ ...) did not go to Ivy League schools.

Bill Gates went to Harvard, but dropped out, so I do not know if you count him.

Steve Wozniak (cofounder of Apple) went to Berkeley, but dropped out and then went back and got his degree years later under an assumed name (Rocky Raccoon Clark).

By the way, Warren Buffet went to two Ivy league school, UPenn and Columbia.
Reply:Well, I'd say if you want a good doctor, the Ivy's are still necessary.
Reply:Me, even though I'm not a politician or famous, I am an important part of this country because I spread truth and advocate smart policies.
Reply:Bill gates ?

Oprah winfrey ? She is the richest person in America.
Reply:Actually, there are not just a lot of non-ivies, but a lot of successful college drop outs as well. Bill Gates tops that list.
