I was hanging out at a stream by my house that I got to almost everyday. We were walking down it and we slipped on a rock and fell on tons of plant that looked like poison ivy. I saw my friend again the next day and she said that she had bumps all over her legs, and I had them too. Normally she doesn't get bug bites and I always get them and they don't feel and look like bug bites at all. Do you think we have poison ivy or something like poison ivy???
Do I Have Poison Ivy???

Reply:poison ivy looks like rash and very ichy. its unbearable and looks like rash and red hurts in fact and so bad yu have to be up all nite scratching. it spreads very much i dont' think so.
Reply:my be something./like that
Reply:Yes that sound possible.
Poison ivy is just a poison which causes an alergic reaction. The bumps one gets from a mosquito bite is also an alergic reaction to a poison. Some folks are not affected by poison ivy while most of us are. Poison ivy has a tendency to spread, and especialy if you get hot and sweaty. The best treatment I have found for poison ivy is taking to much bennadryl, and using benadryl cream at the same time, on the bumps. I have had poison ivy, and other alergic reactions spread all over my body before. When it starts to get into your eyes you can go to a doctor and get steroids. Usually you can stop a small reaction with rest, and bennadryl though.
Yes you probably have a poison ivy, poison oak, or poison sumac reaction.
Reply:Probably. Poison ivy is really itchy.

Reply:could also be poison oak or poison sumac....see link below
I am highly allergic to all three. Does it itch? There is nothing you can do for it now just try to scratch it bc you dont want to burst the bubbles open, you run the risk of getting infection when you have those open sores. Try Super Ivy Dry or a Aveno Oat Bath to sooth the itch. It will ooze, dry up, scab up and go away in about 10 days. Good luck
Reply:sounds like it
Reply:Poison ivy has 3 leaves on it.
If you have it, it looks more like a bumpy rash than a bug bite
If you have it, don't worry. Just put some Calamine lotion on it and wait for it to go away. Don't scratch it.
Reply:Symptoms
Itching
Burning skin
Redness of the skin
Blisters
Swelling
Home Treatment
Wash the area immediately with soap and water. Quickly washing the area can prevent a reaction, but it doesn't usually help if done more than 1 hour after touching the plant's sap.
Carefully wash any contaminated objects or clothing alone in hot soapy water. Do not let the items touch any other clothing or materials.
An over-the-counter antihistamine such as Benadryl or a steroid cream may help relieve itching.
