Ivy League Schools ?
Actually, you probably have a better chance of getting into an Ivy League school coming from a very small school. Yale, Harvard, et al., strive for a diverse student body which enriches the social experience and personal growth of all students. In fact, your roommates are likely to range from New England "preppies" to guys from the "Boondocks". You'll all have certain things in common, though, like intelligence, wide range of interests, and accomplishments.

Let your guidance counselor know of your interests and goals so he or she can help you through the process. Go for it and good luck!
Reply:If you've done excellent in school, are involved and meet Ivy League expectations of their applicants, then yes. Schools don't base admission based on the size of the high school that the applicant attended.
Reply:I once was enrolled to go to Harvard law, I changed my mind after discovering acting, woman, and substances. I look back at the whole thing with fond memories, and I'm sure that I'm better off being an actor then some tight *** lawyer.
Reply:Sounds like you are a strong candidate. You did not mention Honors and AP classes- take as many´of those as you can handle. Try some volunteer work and be sure to get great SAT scores as well. Good luck....
Reply:To the person who said it's IV, um....what are you on? It's ivy.

And Ivy League schools strongly consider your entrance essay, interview (might not be required, but always makes you look more like you want to get in), SAT/ACT scores, recommendations, the rigor of classes that you took (if you have a 4.0 with easy classes, that's not that great. but if you have a 4.0 with advanced classes, that's really good), and extracurriculars including volunteer work.
Reply:we need to see your gpa, sat, act, extracurricular activites, volunteer work, work experience, class rank, number of ap classes/honor classes/college prep classes. give me this info and ill give you my opinion.
Reply:First you must realize that it is "IV " not ivy like the plant. Roman numeral 4. !!!
Reply:Make sure you can demonstrate leadership skills by holding such positions as president and editor of the school newspaper. Also make sure you are overly well-prepared for the SAT. If your scores are above 700 on all sections, then the schools will probably overlook the fact that you didn't take as many AP or IB courses as other students. You may be able to study for AP exams on your own. If you take them junior year and can get a few 5's, then that should help strengthen your academic record.
Reply:Of course, as long as you took or will take a few AP classes in your Junior and Senior years. Colleges will like you if you challenged yourself for the last year of high school. Umm.. standardized testing scores should be high. A foreign language and sports would definitley help. Also, make sure you volunteer, get a few hours each week and it will add up.
