IVY Leagues?

I have a 3.2 gpa non weighted and 3.7 weighted. My sat score is 2010. I was born in Israel but moved to America when I was 7. I also speak Russian and Hebrew. I have poetry and piano awards. This is kind of weird but do you think I have a chance at an IVY league like Dartmouth? Honestly..

IVY Leagues?
It will be an uphill battle.

Only 10% of Dartmouth's 1st year students had a GPA below 3.24 and your SAT scores put you at around the 25th percentile.

As you can see, this is not a good place to be. The only chance you have is your piano playing skills. You must try to gain access through the music department and hope that they have a need for a pianist and that you can demonstrate that you can fill that void. Unfortunately, I suspect that there are many exceptional pianists out there who have higher academic qualifications......if only you played a less popular instrument.

You have a chance, albeit a slim one.

Good luck!
Reply:you will not be a competitive applicant in the IVY league application pools since all the IVY league applicants have at least a 4.0+ gpa with like crazy 2200+ sat score with a lot of extra curricular. I'd suggest you apply to U.C.'s if you live in California or any other colleges other than those top notch ivy league colleges. The colleges probably think you're a slacker because of your low gpa, but a high sat score. (which isn't really good.. but it still shows that you're smart.) You'll definitely get into a prestigious college.
Reply:Your GPA is too low, but you would add to the diversity and depending on how great you are as a poet/pianist, you could have a shot, but a small one. You could still get into some great colleges, but probably not Ivy.
Reply:Your GPA is low. Universities and Colleges will unweight your GPA first, then look at it weighted. Your SAT is good though. You would have a good chance at a school like UC Santa Barbra, Santa Cruz, and possibly Davis.
