Ivy League Schools?

Would you say I have a chance of getting accepted in an Ivy league school, or other selective colleges such as Georgetown and MIT?

I am currently a Junior and i have a 3.84 GPA.

Freshmen and Sophomore year I took all Honors classes.

My Junior year (which i am currently in) I transfered to another school which offers a curriculum like a college so i can take up way more courses in 1 year.

By my Senior year I would have taken these science and math courses....ill exclude the basic course like english, history.

Science: Honors Biology, Honors Physical Science, Conceptual Physics, Accelerated Chemistry, Accelerated Genetics, Accelerated Anatomy and Physiology, Accelerated Physics 2, Accelereated Genetics, Acclerated Phyiscs 2, Academic Horticulture, Academic Enviromental Science, and Horticulture.

Math:Honors Geometry, Accelerated Alg 2, Honors Alg 2, Accelerated advanced alg/ Trigonometry, Accelerated Intro to Calc, Honors Calc, Ap Calc, Accelerated Probability and Statistics.

Ivy League Schools?
Well you're well on your way, what more could you have done? From what I know of you your classes aren't going to hold you back, and a 3.84 gpa's pretty good.

However thats not going to get you in, so I really can't say if you have a chance. I need more info.

Did you take the SAT?
Reply:Those classes all sound great.

and so does your GPA.

but a lot depends on your essay supplements

and SAT scores (especially your math section for MIT).

my friend had a lot less than you did, but she was extremely smart and passionate about math and science and got a 790 on her math section of the SAT and got into MIT.

good luck!
Reply:You really don't mention any extracurriculars or SAT score. You're GPA is great, but if you don't have any EC's, than that could severely damage your chances at any university, let alone an Ivy league.
Reply:i'm not sure if a 3.84 is high enough. the rest looks good and good SATs will help. ivys usually look for 3.95-4.00
Reply:I think you have a good shot, however you still need to do quite a lot. ECs are important to a degree since everyone will have those scores (and better). SAT is impt as well, try to score 700-800 in each section. Finally write a killer essay and get great recs and you should have a decent shot.
Reply:You should talk to your college counselor at school to be sure that your curriculum is what these schools are looking for. In addition to that, your scores on the SAT and ACT are very important, as are your extra-curricular activities. You need to be well-rounded.

That's a worthy ambition and I have nothing but respect for you.
Reply:I think you're aware that your course load qualifies you to get into an Ivy League but what will matter are the grades you're getting in those classes and most of all that you show them you have a life outside of school i.e. you have other interests that make you a rounded individual.

I went to an Ivy League and graduated almost 2 years ago.
Reply:My God, I would have to say yes, however it does not hurt to get outside and socialize once in a while.
